Whenever you reach for a cup of coffee, sign a document, or have a rare handshake in today’s climate, the focus of attention many a times turns to your hand, it’s appearance, texture and overall aesthetic. According to Roxanne Guy, MD and member of American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS): "After the face, hands are the second most visible, tell-tale sign of one's age.” Today, there are a growing number of patients, who after undergoing anti-aging facial treatments and surgeries, look to getting hand and feet rejuvenation treatments done to better match their younger rejuvenated face.

In Dubai, some of the reasoning from patients for getting hand and foot rejuvenation treatments is to make their veins, tendons and bony structures appear less visible and obvious. Also, to reduce the contrast between their facial improvements and their aging hands and feet. There are a number of useful treatments that can help patients restore their hands and feet to a more youthful and healthy appearance. Hand and foot rejuvenation treatments help patients complete one more vital step in turning back the hands of time in restoring their youthful looks.

Factors for such a wide gap in hand rejuvenation treatment prices are found to be mainly because:

  • Brand awareness of the clinic: treatment from a more reputable hospital will be costlier than a clinic not widely known to people. Institutions make huge investments to build a trusted brand and patients are supposed to pay a premium because of it.
  • Location: Clinics located in Jumeirah, Downtown, or Dubai Marina need to pay higher rents, multiple times more than similarly sized facilities located in less expensive areas of Dubai. Clinics in costlier areas, in turn, will charge more for otherwise similar services accordingly.
  • Experience of the practitioner: It is quite understandable that you pay more for a service from a more experienced practitioner. In addition to that, if you get treatment from a doctor not a technician, it would cost you more. Among doctors, you will need to pay

A few principles to note regarding the price of hand and foot rejuvenation treatments in Dubai as follows:

Hand and Foot Rejuvenation Prices in Dubai

As hand and foot rejuvenation treatments on offer are various and quite broad in scope, we will tackle pricing piece by piece. Some clinics and hospitals will price their treatments individually, however will also provide a lower price for a bundled package of sessions to include microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and dermal fillers. With that in mind, here are some price points for hand and foot rejuvenation treatments in Dubai:

  • Fat injection, autologous fat transplant or microlipoinjection prices in Dubai start at AED 15,000 and reach AED 30,000. On average, patients can expect to pay around AED 22,500. This treatment is a two-step process that includes fat harvesting or grafting from another area of the patient’s body and injecting it into the hand or foot. According to the plastic surgeon, they will determine the most suitable area of the body from which to remove fat. Depending on which area the fat is harvested from, pricing will fluctuate accordingly.

  • Dermal Fillers, patients who opt for this treatment already know that a standard 1mL of dermal filler starts at AED 899 and can reach a maximum of AED 2,625. On average, patients should expect to pay around AED 1,300 to 1,500 for 1mL of dermal filler. Depending on the severity of skin degradation, wrinkles and other blemishes, the specialist will recommend the required number of mLs needed. Most specialists will use Radiesse, composed of calcium hydroxylapatite, and Restylane Lyft, a hyaluronic acid (HA), as they are the only two dermal fillers approved by the FDA specifically for use in the hands.

  • Intensed Pulsed Light (IPL), or photo rejuvenation prices in Dubai start as low as AED 500 and reach upto AED 1,000 per session with an average price of AED 875 per session.

  • CO2 Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing prices in Dubai start as low as AED 1,500 and reach upto AED 3,500 per session with an average price of AED 2,500 per session.

  • Mesotherapy prices in Dubai start at AED 500 per session and can reach a maximum of AED 800 per session. A session may require anywhere from 1 to 5 mL of a mesotherapy injectable and as per the specialist’s recommendation. Clinics in Dubai will use a variety of mesotherapy brands including some of the following: Dermaheal, Revitacare, Estilad, and Meline.

  • Microdermabrasion prices in Dubai start as low as AED 110 and reach upto AED 500 per session with an average price of AED 305 per session.

  • Chemical peels dermatologists will almost always advise patients to come in for an in-person consultation to get a better understanding of the client’s skin condition and provide the right type of treatment.  Since chemical peel treatments in Dubai are not categorized by depth or intensity per say, and depend more on the area of focus recommended by the specialist, patients will find prices start as low as AED 250 to 2,500 per session with an average price of AED 1,375 per session.

One thing to note is that in Dubai, clinics are generally marketing most of their hand and foot rejuvenation treatments as per the brands and technologies rather than the high level technical terminology of hand rejuvenation treatments. For example, when asking a clinic about IPL (photo rejuvenation) they may respond with a reference to using BBL (Broadband Laser) or if asking about different depth peels they will refer to the Spectra Laser Carbon Peel. Clinics will prefer to discuss and provide the latest and best technologies currently being used.

The above prices for hand rejuvenation treatments are also not indicative of whether or not specialists choose to use supplements with their treatments such as vitamin C, serums and other topical enhancers to the skin. Again, it’s always clearer once you consult with the specialist to properly understand the requirements of your lifestyle, expectations and skin’s unique condition.
