Q: What do you do to keep your skin healthy?

Lifestyle is very important, so you have to drink a lot of water, eat healthy - vegetables and fruits, and you have to take care of your skin by cleaning your skin at least twice a day. You have to apply your moisturizer twice a day, you have to apply your sun screen. Application of sun screen is not only once in a day, you have to repeat wearing your sun screen if you are exposed to the sun more than one time in a day. And the sunscreen has to be SPF 30 and above. As anti-aging, you have to apply the hyaluronic acid in the morning which will be important for hydration of your skin, and evening time. Plus, evening time, we apply some night serums, that have vitamin C and E.

Q: What shall be the biggest skin concern in the Middle East?

Sun exposure is very critical for Eastern or Middle East skin types. They have a lot of melanin, that absorbs a lot of ultra violet rays from the sun, so this will give some pigmentation in the form of melasma, or lentigines. Sun protection is very important, they can do it in the form of wearing sunscreen in regular basis or wearing a little bit long sleeves, staying in the shades, or wearing big sunglasses. In addition to that, the hydration of skin by regular moisturizer and drinking of water, for sure.

Q: What is one of the most dangerous habits that can harm your skin?

Acne patients, usually they are teenagers, and they don’t like have the pimples of the acne, so they keep on playing with the pimples and this is actually the most dangerous part. Because, by this you keep stimulating and irritating your skin, that will end up by either scar or dark spot that it will be harder to treat than treating the pimple itself.

Q: What food would you recommend for healthier skin?

We have the cherry tomatoes, the raspberry, this is very important as a source of, that will keep your skin glowing and brightening, the licorice extract, the mulberry extract, pineapple is very good for our skin, apple, for sure, this is very important. Anything with the color of green or yellow will help you a lot. Green in the form of leaves or apple by the different colors, carrot, this is very important.

Q: How often shall people wash their hair?

To wash every day, this is a little bit too much. So, we advise the patients to wash their hair 2 to 3 times a week. Because when you wash your hair every day, they are losing the oils, and oils are very important to have the glow on your hair, and for hair follicle to regrow, so washing hair maximum 2 to 3 times a week (is recommended).
