Dr. Tosun graduated from the University of Istanbul’s Dental School in 1984. He continued his education at the University of Aegea, Department of Orthodontics, Izmir-Turkey where he received his PhD degree.
He was a professor, clinical consultant on “fixed orthodontics”. He has lectured extensively in Turkey and internationally. He is the author and co-author of three books on “Biomechanics in Orthodontics” and “Orthodontics in General Practice”. He has been working on “Adult Orthodontics”, “Invisible Braces (Lingual Orthodontics)” and particularly on Early Orthodontic Treatments (treatment of 7 – 8 year old patients). He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontics, Turkish Orthodontic Society and Emirates Medical Association.
In his spare times Dr. Tosun enjoys watercolor painting, playing guitar and photography. Sport is an important part of his way of life, particularly wind surfing, tennis and volleyball. He lives in Dubai with his wife, who is also an orthodontist, and three children – two boys and a girl who are into basketball, swimming and gymnastics.

I decided to get braces after my brother had them done in the UK and I was unable to tell he even had them on for a few days. I looked around at several dentists until I came across Dr Tosun. He seemed to know exactly what he was talking about and gave me some good advice. He advised that it was likely to take 2 years for the treatment and it ended up only taking 21 months in the end. Dr Tosun is very professional and friendly and if there was ever any problem (on holiday and had a question) he would always respond very efficiently by e-mail with some advice. If I needed to go in to get something checked I was almost always able to go that same day and be fitted in between other appointments, I am very happy with the outcome of my orthodontic work and regularly get comments about my good teeth, thank you Dr Tosun. Avoid this orthodontist at all costs. He completely and irreversibly destroyed my teeth!!
