Introduction to Dr. Rafif Tayara
Dr. Rafif Tayara is a Specialist Pediatric Dentist with extensive experience in relation to dental care for infants, children and adolescents. Her field of expertise encompasses the management of patients with behavioural problems and special needs.
She received her DDS from Saint-Joseph University – School of Dental Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon in 2005. She also trained at Saint-Justine’s Children Hospital, Montreal, Canada and then completed her CSS in Pediatric Dentistry from Saint-Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon in 2010. In 2011, she successfully completed her rotational training program in Pediatric Dentistry at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi Dental Center, U.A.E.
She is extremely passionate about providing oral health education through positive and painless dental experiences. “I believe achieving these goals starts with building a strong relationship between the child, parent and dentist.”
She has always valued being a communicator with children and parents. She focuses on building relationships with not just the patient but also their family. She enjoys the challenge of rechannelling a child’s fear of the dentist into trust and a long-term friendship. Which helps instil a lasting and positive dental experience for the patient.
Prior to joining Dr. Michael’s Dental Clinic, Dr. Rafif worked as a Pediatric Dentist in Doha, Qatar. From 2014 till date, she has helped establish and co-found the Pediatric Oral Health Education Team in New York City. The initiative strives towards raising oral health awareness among all healthcare professionals.
Dr. Rafif is driven towards educating communities and other healthcare professionals on oral health through public speaking, workshops in schools, media and healthcare sectors.
She loves travelling, swimming, exercising and dancing.

Exceptional Pediatric Dentist - Dr. Rafif Tayara
Dr. Rafif Tayara is the pediatric dentist every parent dreams of finding. She is not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but she also has a gentle touch and a calming demeanor that instantly puts both children and their parents at ease. She takes the time to explain each procedure and answer any questions, making sure that everyone understands and feels comfortable. My children actually look forward to their dental appointments, and I attribute that to Dr. Tayaras exceptional care. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
