I am a person of few words but I personally wanted to share my experience here as Dr Garima is the best Dr I have come across for children. She is extremely good with kids and makes them feel so comfortable while doing the procedures that my 5 yr daughter who usually hates going to Doctors, enjoyed her Dental sessions. Dr Garima is extremely professional and highly skilled and I would highly recommend her for kids

Lucky to have met the lovely Dr Garima for our toddlers dental procedure. She was great from day one, reassuring us worried parents and seeing us through the surgery. Her bedside manner is impeccable and handled our child with ease. We love that she has been just a message away throughout this time and has given our child excellent treatment. Her entire team at the hospital from the lovely anesthetist to the nurses were all extremely caring and the entire procedure went by swiftly. Dr Garima is definitely the best dentist in Dubai!

I liked the doctors approach in presenting all the treatment options available for my child. Unfortunately due to lot of biscuits and chocolates my 5 year old daughters teeth were spoilt and she was having multiple cavities. Dr Garima patiently explained treatment of each and every tooth and made us understand the importance of oral hygiene. My daughter herself now says no to junk food.

Dr. Garima Khandelwal - The worst paedia
Dr. Garima Khandelwal - The worst paediatric dentist ever. Period. The feeling was like taking my child to a slaughter house. A doctor with no compassion or care for kids. Never trust her and always do get a second opinion. Now i will talk about my experience. My daughter is 4 years old with multiple tooth problems. 10 tooth precisely that needed extraction or filling. Weve been visiting another dentist over the last few months but the distance was a problem, hence we looked for online reviews and decided to visit Dr. Garima mainly due to travel convenience purpose. Our first visit to Dr Garima and she did identify problems that my daughter had like the other dentist before her, but to our surprise she started pushing to get all the tooth fixed in one go using general anaesthesia where the child is completely unconscious when the procedure is done. She repeatedly warned us to not fix her tooth one by one as my daughter is 4 and will not cooperate and kept pushing for General Anaesthesia. We were not convinced and hence got a second opinion from my family dentist in India who ruled out general anaesthesia as its not advisable for kids below 6 years of age, and asked to start treating the teeth one by one. So me and my wife decided we will take it slowly and treat my daughters tooth one by one. My daughter herself volunteered to get her tooth removed and she was really looking forward to the experience. She has done filling in the past and knows what its like to go to a dent

I am surprised that, as a doctor I am helping you in the best way possible and If you were so not happy with the treatment plan and my suggestions, Why did you come back for the second appointment. We just had consultation in first visit and all the options were presented to you. When a young child has 10 carious teeth and most of them are so grossly decayed that they require extraction or pulpectomy, and the child is very anxious its DhA protocol to suggest sedation and OPD basis treatment which was very well suggested to you. 1) You yourself say that your daughter has 10 cavities and the reason for your first visit was because she was in constant pain with a massive swelling in her gums. What kind of good parent keeps their child in this condition? Your words she was on antibiotics for cold and cough and swelling since 3 weeks and she was in so much pain that she kept on insisting to you to take her to a doctor. What kind of parent makes a 4 year old suffer so much that inspite of visibly seeing a cavity and having ray on hand and going for a second opinion you still do nothing about it! 2) You came in urgency today and had no insurance approval at hand and Yet I tried to help you by going ahead with the procedure and not making you wait for one day for approval to come. 3) You and your wife were well informed that a 4 year old child might cry and not like the feeling of local anesthesia specially when they are anxious and having cold and cough and in pain. You still kept on insisting that you wish to do the procedure and even asked me to instead fill the tooth instead of extracting it. Intraoral periapical radiograph and clinical grossly destructed tooth was a proof that extraction is the only option possible. 4) No where during the treatment your child ever complained of pain and the procedure was very smooth. If you took all second opinions then you should have gone those dentists and not come back to me. NO one forced you to. But I guess some people are just purely thankless. So People like you make me loose faith in patients but I know there are good people also and so I will continue to advice all options and practice Pediatric dentistry in all ethics as always.
