Introduction to Dr. Angela Polania Gonzalez

Dr Polanía graduated from Dental School, Universidad del Valle in 2004. She earned a Masters degree in Orthodontics from Universidad del Valle in 2009, Cali -Colombia.

With an overall of 15 years of experience in the dental area, 10 of them as an Orthodontist, Dr Polanía has experience in diagnosis and management of the different malocclusions present in the child, adolescent and adult population, guaranteeing satisfactory results that provide health and aesthetics.

Dr Polanía has experience in orthodontics with and without extractions, temporomandibular disorders, patients seeking aesthetic orthodontics, ortho-surgical treatments, multidisciplinary treatments and maxillary orthodontics in children and adolescents.

Dr Polanía pursued advanced studies and completed special training in Aesthetic Dentistry and Adhesive Prosthesis in 2005, and Invisible Retainers and Minor Tooth Movement technique in 2006.

Dr Polanía actively participates in continuous education and has completed several courses in biomechanics with common sense, therapeutic management of malocclusions: MEAW philosophy and occlusion medicine and diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial, maxillomandibular and dentoalveolar asymmetries.

Dr Polanía is currently involved in several academic activities such as lecturing, research, mentoring and teaching orthodontic residents in the UAE.

CERTIFIED PROVIDER OF INVISALIGN, HARMONY SYSTEM (LINGUAL ORTHODONTICS), DAMON (SELF-LIGATING BRACKET TECHNIQUE)

She has been an active member of the World Federation of Orthodontists since 2015.
