uterine fibroid surgery

Did the laproscopic surgery for uterine fibroids and Dr. Alphy had handled the surgery very nicely. The confidence what Dr provided led me to the surgery table without much concerns. The pre and post operative procedures were handled by Dr as if it was a cakewalk. Dr. Alphy would be by go to person on any obstetrics and gynecology queries as she is very friendly and approachable. Thank you Dr.

Laparoscopic Hysterectomy for Mom

Successful laparoscopic hysterectomy for my mom. My mom had problems with her uterus which required surgery. As my mom had some risk factors, we were quite worried about her surgery .We heard about Dr Alphy from one of our friends and she highly recommended to meet her .Dr Alphy was very friendly and approachable at any time.She explained everything about the surgery and patiently answered all our queries.My mom had a smooth surgery with very minimal scars and she was back home the next day of surgery. She would respond to our calls and messages when ever we had queries even after we were back home with my mom. With my personal experience i would say Dr Alphy is one of the best Laparoscopic surgeons in Dubai. Thank you Dr Alphy for taking care of my mom .

I am sherin from cochin... Today we celebrated my sons 8th birthday. I am so happy and greatful to almighty and my dear doctor for having made this possible. I was a dabetic Patient at the time of concieving my second baby. I consulted 2-3 famous doctors but they all suggested abortion. Atlast i consulted dr. Alphy. She is a very warm and concerned personlity. She made me feel very comfortable. My pregnancy was too risky because i had three large fibroids. She did a successful caesarean. I appreciate her expertism in myomectomy. I would like to thank her for her sincerity and understanding. I belive that she was an angel sent by god to save my baby. May god bless her.

Dr. Alphy is the best doctor I have ever come across. Very soft spoken, patient, having tremndous presence of mind and extremely knowledgeable. I used to feel so confident inside out each time after meeting her, thats how a doctor shud be! Very approachable, she used to answer even the silliest question of mine with such a soothing smile and her answers were always accompanied by proper reasoning and simple solutions which truely reflects an absolute expertise in her working field. Introduction to Dr. Alphy Selvin Puthiyidom

Dr. Alphy S. Puthiyidom is a gynaecologist with expertise in advanced and complex laparoscopic Surgery, pelvic reconstructive and urogynaecology surgery. She is known in the UAE and India for her excellence in this field. She is often contacted as a tertiary referral for difficult surgical cases. Her Key areas of Expertise are Endometriosis,Adenomyosis, Fibroid & Urogynecology.

Dr. Alphy has more than 10 years experience in Gynaecology and minimally invasive pelvic surgeries. After obtaining her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she did her Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery from the Sunrise Institute of Medical Sciences,India and training in Endometriosis and Advanced Laparoscopy from IRCAD, Strasbourg, France.

 She is also trained for Infertility Management and Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) from the Institute of Reproductive Medicine, Kolkata, India. In addition, she has received training in Gynaecological Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, India.

 She has performed more than 8000 advanced minimally invasive (keyhole) laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures in these years. Her expertise is mainly in handling difficult procedures like laparoscopy in severe and recurrent endometriosis, removal of large and multiple fibroids, laparoscopic repair of prolapse uterus. One of her areas of interest is the performance of minimally invasive procedures during pregnancy, including laparoscopic cervical cerclage in pregnancy, which is used in the prevention of unexpected pregnancy loss in mothers prone to miscarriages due to cervical incompetence. 

 She is one of the leading urogynaecologists in Dubai who routinely performs sling procedures for stress urinary incontinence. She is also experienced in the surgical correction of pelvic fistulas and prolapses.

 

 Her special interest is in performing complicated surgeries with very minimal scar to the patient, which approach provides the maximum post- operative comfort and cosmetic appearance.

Dr. Alphy is a gifted teacher of minimally invasive techniques. To date, she has provided training in laparoscopic gynaecology procedures to more than 350 gynecologists from India, the Middle East and South-East Asia. She has been invited as a speaker to many International and national conferences and has demonstrated various procedures as surgical faculty in many live endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical workshops.
