The nurses are very sensitive and skilled but sadly the hospital itself is very bad. Great infrastructure but it comes at a cost. A huge cost. My doctor Dr. Imaad was the worst. He came twice a day for a minute and spoke what seemed to be English. I was down with amoebiasis but was well after 3 days but they kept me there for 6 the reason being We dont discharge patients on Fridays Our system is down. They could have discharged me on Thursday but they didnt and when I questioned they said that we already gave you an option of getting discharged but you chose not to. I was in a state of shock. Is it a hotel or an hospital that they give patients option to extend just for the heck of it. This Dr. never gave me this option he was either incapable of communicating the option or was rather sly about it because he said we cant discharge you on Friday which I assumed to be a medical reason but it seems it was because their system was down. They kept me there for no reason which was depressing me and making me sick all the more. They gave me same food in the breakfast lunch and dinner. Boiled potatoes boiled carrots boiled chicken yogurt and Banana. I couldnt eat it anymore and was starving. Had to hire a cat sitter which posted me a bomb even for the days that I was not required to be kept. They gave me face paper towels instead of tissue rolls and now I have rashes and swelling all over my privates. I had to cry my way out of this place. Worst hospital. Please go to GMCThumbay if you dont want to be cheated. - by Tejaswi Shahir
