Dr. Hazem Rifaai completed his M.B.B.Ch from the reputed Faculty of Medicine & Surgery, Cairo University, Egypt in the year 1996.

He completed his Master?s Degree in Rheumatology & Rehabilitation Medicine from Faculty of Medicine & Surgery, Cairo University, Egypt in the year 2002. Subsequently, Dr. Hazem attained the Medical Council of Canada Evaluation Certificate, Toronto, Canada in the year 2010. He was awarded a PhD degree in Rheumatology, Garrington University, USA. He is also a Member in the British Society for Rheumatology.

Dr. Hazem has more than twelve years? experience in the field of Rheumatology.

Prior to joining NMC Healthcare (in 2014), Dr. Hazem has worked in Police Hospital (one of the largest hospitals in Cairo, Egypt) for eleven years from the 1998 - 2009. Thereafter, Dr. Hazem has worked in Mouwasat Hospital (American JCI Accredited and one of the largest hospitals in Saudi Arabia) from 2009 - 2014, where he was the recipient of the "Best Doctor" award for the year 2013.

He takes Special Interest in new Biologic therapies for the treatment of:

Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthitis, Arthritis asoociated with Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, Wegener's Granulomatosis.
