Peripheral nerves problems

I was having misdiagnosis and I saw many doctors, leading to my medical condition to get worse. Luckily I managed to find Dr Fatmah Al Zahmi thanks to Dr Debora (neurosurgeon Doctor, also from Mediclinic Parkview) and she started treating me and guide me on the right track. I was having problem with the peripheral nerves affecting other parts of my body, and my inmune system was fighting my own body. Therefore, Dr Fatmah started treating my symptoms and to find the cause of my condition with the help of a rheumatologist, working together to find the right treatment (IVIG and Rituximab). Thanks to her I managed to get better and get my weight back after loosing 10 kilos and all my muscles and strength. She is very knowledgeable and very professional. I recommend seeing Dr Fatmah if anyone is having any similar medical condition and dont know who to go. She is the best doctor specialist in the nerve system.

ALS-International patient

I am from Iran, and in 2021, I received the devastating diagnosis of ALS. I quickly sought out information and explored the possibility of medication or care that could help me regain my health. In 2022, genetic testing revealed the presence of the SOD1 mutation. My neurologist in Iran informed me that the available medication for this specific gene mutation (SOD1) that could potentially help me was Tofersen. Unfortunately, due to some reasons, I encountered significant obstacles in accessing the Tofersen medication in Iran; however, my situation took a positive turn when I learned about Dr. Fatmah Alzahmi at MEDICLINIC Hospital in Dubai. She had recently initiated treatment with Tofersen, a medication specifically designed for ALS patients, on one of her patients. This was the treatment I desperately needed. I decided to reach out to her via email, and to my surprise, she responded promptly and provided me with valuable assistance and information. I scheduled an appointment with her for an in-person examination and a discussion of my health issues. Within a day, she obtained approval for me to access the early access program for Tofersen.
