Dr. Ritu Khare completed her Masters in General Surgery from the renowned King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India followed by a specialization in hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal surgery from the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Medical Institute at Lucknow, India. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2017 she was conferred upon the Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She has a vast experience in laparoscopic abdominal surgery having trained at the Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery at Bordeaux, France
She further undertook several courses and training in France and United States in advanced colorectal surgery, bariatric surgery and robotic surgery.
For her thesis on abdominal surgery, she was awarded a Gold Medal by the University of Mumbai.

Dr. Ritu Khare has over 17 years of surgical experience and is practicing in UAE since 2003. She specializes in advanced laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery wherein even the most complex surgeries can be performed using minimally invasive techniques thus reducing hospital stay and enhancing patient comfort
She is an expert in laparoscopic abdominal surgery, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, hernia surgery and all forms of breast and thyroid surgery
Dr. Ritu Khare has a special interest in gastrointestinal surgery and specializes in the in advanced laparoscopic surgical management of hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders, gastrointestinal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis), all forms of abdominal hernias, gastro-oesophagal reflux disease and colorectal disorders. She also performs all forms of bariatric surgical procedures for management of obesity
Dr. Ritu Khare is academically very active and presents her surgical work regularly at national and international medical conferences. She was the general secretary of the Emirates Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and has been very active in organizing academic medical meetings, facilitating the sharing of experience amongst surgeons of the middle-east region.

I had surgery for the gall bladder stones done by Laparoscopy by Dr Ritu Khare at Medeor Hospital. It was a very smooth and pleasant experience and I can not thank enough for having been treated by her
