Dr. Mohamed Saeed finished his degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) in Cairo, Egypt in 1975. After graduating, he first became a Senior House Officer in Abu Dhabi and had his training in Cardiology in UK (Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Scotland, UK, 1982-1984, Bangor General Hospital, Scotland, UK, 1985-1986 and Lees General Infirmary, England UK 1986-1987).
He started working as a full-time cardiologist in one of the public hospitals in Abu Dhabi in December 1989.
Dr. Mohamed Saeed is a member of the ?Royal College of Physicians? in UK and in the ?Fellow of the American College of Cardiology?.
In 1994, he established the first Cath Lab in the private healthcare sector in Abu Dhabi and built a full-pledged interventional procedure program.
Dr. Mohamed Saeed?s achievements made in the field of interventional cardiology in the UAE include performing the first PTCA in UAE in 1991, the first valvuloplasty in 1992, implanted the first stent in 1993. He has performed more than 20,000 coronary angiograms and more than 8,000 PCI ranging from ?simple to complex, more than 60 cases of PCI to unprotected left main, peripheral angioplasty including renal PTA, balloon mitral valvuloplasty and permanent pacemaker implantation.
In 2011, the ?Emirates Cardiac Society Congress? awarded him with the ?Lifetime Achievement Award? in Cardiology.
