Engaging, interested and honest
After noticing the August review above the day before my appointment, I was tempted to cancel. However, I decided to go ahead anyway, and was very glad I did. Dr. Majer was interested, engaged and listened to my every word to understand the events and history that had brought me to seek his help. He thoroughly reviewed the MRI's and xrays I had provided thereception desk and which had been uploaded to his desktop. We discussed the view of other doctors, as I wanted his opinion (a 3rd opinion) on an existing diagnosis and proposed course of treatment. Unlike prior consultations, he did a thorough exam, testing the capability of my legs and feet, before completely checking my spine, spinal nerves and facet joints. His summary was honest and in total the consultation lasted nearly an hour. He was in no hurry to fob me off, and was careful to provide a realistic prognosis that wasn't always what I wanted to hear, but I admired his honesty. A clearly very capable man, and not one who favours a "shotgun" approach - "let's try everything and see what happens". A man who prefers to target his therapies to ascertain where the various pains are coming from to facilitate future treatments and targetting.

Met 2 dr for my L5S1 (buldge disc) Dr catalin/dr walid.. 1st visit with catalin it was 5 min talk he just recommended the epidural enjection and told me to google it to know more about it so I can decide if I want to do it.. after 2 days only I called back after googling it and took my decision, the hospital informed me that he went on leave (so maybe that's why he was in hurry with 5 min appointment, so excited to go on leave). So I booked with Dr walid he said what dr catolin has said and made me do the epidural.. after the enjection I was having a follow up with dr walid to know how it went.. but the pain was the same, and his reply was there is nothing I can do except if you want to go for a major operation were we will use screws and instead you have 3 discs it will be one.. my visit was 1 week back 20/07/2017. I don't recommend this hospital at all... meeting drs not knowing what to do. - by Mohamad Traboulsi
