Dr. Jacob has been practicing as a Specialist Cardiologist for the past 20 years. After graduating from the Kerala university he did his post-graduate training in internal medicine at CMC Ludhiana under Panjab University. Subsequently, the Cardiology training was done at the Christian medical college Vellore from where he obtained the Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Cardiology. The career in Cardiology started at Wanless hospital Miraj where he served as Associate professor and as the head of the department till 1999. his work involved the Management of emergency cases, Evaluation of Cardiac cases, Echo Cardiography Holter Monitoring.

In this regards, he had training at the George Town University Washington DC. USA and the Washington Cardiac Center Washington DC USA. He also had been an attendee at various international conferences.
