Abdominal Artery Aneurysm (AAA)
First of all, I am thankful to Allah and feel very lucky to be one of those few who find out about this condition on time to be able to get treatment. Nothing is possible without His will and all praise is to Him.I slipped and fell on 15 Aug and no fractures were found on the xray. In next 4 days, due to severe pain in my leg, MRI test was done in which hairline fracture was found along with an abdominal aortic aneurysm, and I was advised to consult a vascular surgeon immediately due to the size of the aneurysm. After CT scan, it was found that in addition to the abdominal aortic aneurysm, there were multiple illiac aneurysms. After the shock of finding out the severity of the condition subsided, I started researching vascular surgeons to find the best one. I consulted 7 surgeons in different hospitals due to the complexity of the case, only 2 doctors were ready to perform EVAR surgery and the rest were only comfortable with open surgery. One of these was Dr. Ali at Burjeel hospital when I met him, I was impressed and in addition to his qualification and experience, I liked his straightforward approach and honesty with the patient. Alhamdulillah the surgery was a success and I cant thank Allah enough for that. I am also grateful to Dr. Ali and the staff at Burjeel for their excellent service and care. As for Dr. Ali, I would definitely recommend him. S.K., Pakistani national
