Dr. Paul Aoun, with almost a decade of medical experience in the endocrinology field, joins American Hospital Dubai as Endocrinology Consultant.
Dr. Aoun?s medical journey started in Texas, where he completed his medical courses and also earned a Ph.D. in Neuro-endocrinology from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He then relocated to Baltimore, Maryland to pursue an internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University-Sinai Hospital Program and later completed a fellowship program in endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Aoun went on to work as a Clinical Endocrinologist at Palm Beach Diabetes & Endocrine Specialists in Florida for more than six years. He was an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Miami and has served in leadership positions at some notable institutions over the course of his career, such as Johns Hopkins University where he was a Chief Resident, the American Diabetes Association where he acted as President of the Palm Beach County board, and the American Health Council where he was recognized as a leader in his field.
Alongside his post as a consultant, Dr. Aoun continues to publish medical papers and textbook chapters and regularly partake in roundtable discussions and presentations on various endocrine topics, such as, diabetes care and prevention and thyroid disease.
