With a special interest in obstructive lung diseases (COPD and asthma), interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary malignancies and all aspects of sleep medicine including sleep apnea, Dr. Aoun established himself as a leading doctor while working as an inpatient and outpatient attending physician at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire where he also served as the Chair of Department of Medicine and of the intensive care unit.
In parallel with his clinical work, Dr. Aoun regularly partakes in national speaking events, seminars, lectures and roundtables on topics such as asthma, emphysema and interstitial lung diseases. He performs as a senior consultant and speaker to several major pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Aoun is also a member of several medical associations, has served over the years as an investigator on medical research papers and a writer in several peer reviewed publications and contributor to pulmonary chapters in medical textbooks.
