Hemogram (20 tests) is a complete blood count (CBC) used to evaluate your overall health and to detect abnormalities in the blood that could cause a variety of diseases and health issues.
Urine Routine (19 tests) is a complete urine analysis used for screening general health and detecting diseases or disorders in the kidneys or urinary tract.
Diabetic Screening using:
1. Average Blood Glucose test
2. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) tests for both types of diabetes and measures the amount of sugar/glucose in your bloodstream for the past 2 to 3 months.
Cholesterol test or lipid profile is a blood test that measures 4 types of fats (lipids) in your blood:
1. Total cholesterol which is simply the sum of your blood’s cholesterol content.
2. High density lipoprotein, or (HDL) cholesterol is regarded as “good cholesterol” and is responsible for removing plaque buildup and essential in preventing heart disease and strokes.
3. Low density lipoprotein, or (LDL) cholesterol is considered “bad cholesterol” and is mainly responsible for the build-up of plaque in your arteries and the cause of heart attacks and strokes.
4. Triglycerides are the most common forms of fat found in the body and comes mainly from vegetable oils and animal fats.
Vitamin B12 test checks the level of Vitamin B12 in the body which is necessary for several bodily processes, including nerve function and the production of DNA and red blood cells.
Vitamin D Total test checks the level of Vitamin D in the body which is necessary for calcium absorption and maintaining healthy bones and teeth and protecting against cancer and other health risks.
Iron Deficiency Profile is a series of tests to measure the levels of Iron in the bloodstream which is important in the production of healthy blood cells.
1. Serum Iron test measures the amount of Iron in the body and gauges for either Iron deficiency or overload.
2. Unsaturated Iron Binding Capacity (UIBC) represent the portion of Iron binding sites on transferin not occupied by Iron.
3. Total iron binding capacity (TIBC) is a test that measures how well Iron is transiting through the body or the sum of Serum Iron and Unsaturated Iron Binding Capacity (UIBC).
Testosterone test measures how much of the testosterone hormone is being produced in the body. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of the male reproductive system, fat distribution, muscles, bone tissue and bodily hair growth. Even though it is found less in women, it is still important for the growth, maintenance, and repair of a woman's reproductive tissues, bone mass, and human behaviors.
In addition, the overall health and functionality of key organs will be checked:
Kidney or Renal Profile is an overview of the general health of kidneys. The role of our kidneys is to filter all the toxic substances out of our body. Kidneys filter blood every day and maintain the overall fluid content in our body. Therefore, it is important for people with active lifestyles to ensure their kidneys are functioning at optimum levels. A kidney or renal profile will determine the health of your kidneys in the following ways:
1. Creatinine test is a blood test used to count the presence of creatinine (a waste product from muscle tissue) in your kidney and how efficiently it is being disposed.
2. Calcium test is a blood test used to measure the amount of calcium in the bloodstream. Calcium is an important mineral for our bones, teeth, heart and many other critical organs.
3. Uric Acid test is a blood test used to quantify how much uric acid is in your bloodstream. Uric acid is derived from the breakdown of purines in the kidneys and are found in some sea-foods, meats, alcoholic beverages and some vegetables. Failure to control uric acid in the body can lead to gout, a type of inflammatory arthritis.
4. Urea test is a test used to determine the amount of waste created in the liver. After nutrient absorption, this remaining waste is carried through the blood and into the kidneys and finally out of the body as urine.
5. Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) is a blood test used to compute how much nitrogen is present in the blood and how efficiently your kidneys are removing it from your blood.
Liver Profile is a group of blood and urine tests used to determine the general health of the liver. The liver produces enzymes and bile that digests food and transforms it into energy for the body.
Thyroid Profile is a group of blood tests to measure the total level of hormones produced by the thyroid. The thyroid is a gland in the neck and is responsible for producing hormones such as thyroxine (T4) for healthy metabolism and growth, brain development throughout infancy and childhood and body temperature.
