Doha Clinic Hospital was opened on 3rd June, 2001 by the Emir of Qatar, HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifah Al-Thani. It is owned by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani. Centrally located in New Al Merqab Street, Doha Clinic Hospital is the first fully-integrated private hospital to open in Qatar, and offers first-class medical care. It has departments in the following areas of medicine: Anaesthesiology, Cardiology, Dentistry, Dermatology and Venereology, E.N.T., General Medicine, General and Laproscopic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Physiotherapy, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Opthalmology, Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Paediatrics, Radiology, Urology, I.C.U. and N.I.C.U. There is a fully equipped Laboratory department located at the 1st Floor of our Outpatient Building. Doha Clinic Hospital is an 80-bed multi-speciality private medical centre, offering excellent health-care services with the help of well qualified and experienced medical staff. Doha Clinic’s out-patient facilities have for many years been appreciated and recommended both by Qataris and those of other nationalities. Our new inpatient department contains the most up-to-date equipment, and offers five-star facilities. Doha Clinic Hospital is unique in being both small and large: small in that it has a limited number of beds (80) and large because of its advanced equipment that is not normally available except in major hospitals, ie those with more than 600 beds. With reference to the Qatar National Vision 2030, our main aim is to upgrade the Quality of services within the hospital. Doha Clinic Hospital is already accredited with Canadian Accreditation Body (ACI) and we will be mainly concentrating on the patient safety & Quality of our valuable patients. Our new women’s Hospital Project is on the way and we will be building this project as per the international standards. Since this was the first private hospital in Qatar, contracts were made with several international agencies which specialize in hospital design and equipment. At the time of building we decided to install the most up-to-date equipment to ensure proper diagnosis and better treatment for the patients, which is one of the keys to the success of the hospital. It is well known that the key stone for any successful health programme is its manpower. A group of more than thirty consultants with broad experience in various branches of medicine have been recruited, and is assisted by a well- trained team of nurses and technicians. Contracts have also been signed with a number of overseas consultants to pay regular visits to our hospital, thus ensuring that the services are constantly upgraded.
